Small update with a small rant.
w00t, useful piece of bard relic 4tw! I was really glad I finally got this since the last one that dropped I got kind of cheated out of. (The person who got it literally got back from a 3 week break that day while I hadn't gone anywhere). Anyway, I think it's pretty much the ugliest thing in existence right now. Seriously, it's worse than the flap on the black mage hats. I put in a request to a friend that does dats and we came up with a brilliant idea; top hats.
Another "finally" which I got lucky on. Lot out and I won (the other person's next lot was a 998 on a scroll while mine was a 50, phew!) I don't actually need it too much, neither did he, since we both have Dalm's, but now I'm 4/5 black mage relic. {Dynamis-Jeuno} {Can I have it?}
For anyone who thinks scholars are useless should look at those numbers. Mind you I'm a very well geared black mage (Genie Weskit, Novio, Sorcerer's Ring) with decent merits (full thunder potency with level 1 Burst 2) but I am also an Elvaan which means I hit much less than the average person. Throw in a scholar with thunderstorm and khimaform and these are the numbers I was putting out. All of the black mage's were putting out normal hits for 1400+ each time. We were the tanks worst nightmare and I was loving every second of it. I feel I have become a bit jaded when it comes to the game. Not many things get me excited anymore. I feel like I've done most of it and or at least tried, but that was the first time I was giddy after something as simple as Fafnir. Numbers like that and the 1503 I did today with no scholar make me smile and feel happy.
That and making white mages bored at major mobs on my red mage. Nothing makes you feel better about yourself than "Can I please haste? May, I'm so bored, come on, let me haste."
